Could it possibly be Jet Coal - There is such a substance
Could the answer be Jet Coal - there is such a substance!!
I'm torn between Sea Coal and Jet Coal, but am tending towards Sea because the sea is blue. Otherwise I can't see any logic for "out of the blue" being in the clue.
Sea coal was transported along the east coast from the mining areas down to London. I think that's where 'out of the blue' comes from.
Out of the Blue - From the sky eg a jet plane!! Therefore Jet Coal or am I trying to be too clever by half???
