kellee - what letters do you have?
Question Author
R>A>>EH, thank you,lie-in-king, love the handle
mischievous, playful, cheeky, impish, knavish, rascally, waggish, frolicsome, coquettish, swindling, villainous, deceiving, deceitful, dishonest, criminal, crooked, fraudulent, shady, unprincipled, unscrupulous
Knavish fits 2 of your letters - are you sure about the other two?
kellee - how certain are you of your letters? I'm afraid I can't see anything that fits the pattern you've given... & gen2 has beaten me to the list - phew! lol
Question Author
Thank you gen2 and lie-in-king, my clues that go across are as follows, conscious -aware, aloha state-hawaii,pastimes-interesse,sea fog off east scotland-haar, if either of you know of any other words that fit l would be grateful, thank you
Did you mean to type 'Interests?
Would that & 'Awake' allow you to have 'Knavish'?

Or am I reading it wrong?
Question Author
Lie-in-king, sorry the clue is PASTIMES, and the answer l came up with was INTERESSE, knavish would fit if it were not only for the E.
Sorry kellee, lost my line!

I think 'Interests' fits better than 'Interesse' (this seems to be a singular noun, with a possible plural of 'Interesses') - if so, does the last 'E' becomes the 'S' you need (?)

You're very welcome kellee!

"Mmmm, oranges...(drool, drool)!"
