This being the first weekend of the month, we have a new setter for the MM Links game and welcome King Fordward to the throne. He nearly backed out after winning the January game but was finally persuaded to set the links for you. Although his work means that he cannot always be available to post at the specified time, his introduction and chosen words will be posted by myself at the usual time.

King Fordward is also out this evening so is unlikely to visit the shrubbery tonight. However, the shrubbery is open for the rest of you to scheme strategies, ponder possibilities and muse on the mechanisms of the male mind. Strix, ulysses100 and particularly Magyar managed rare glimpses into the mind of Pauline last month, but who will be able to fathom the mind of King Fordward? Will there be any clues in his preamble? Will you be able to spot them if there are? Will a virtual alcoholic haze help you to get on his wavelength? Only time will tell.

As usual, the bonus points will be there for the taking as you nurse your hangovers out of the shrubbery at 9:00 am tomorrow and remember that King Fordward's thread will be opened by gen2 at about 8.45 in the morning. The MM Link Game should then be officially launched when the four words to be linked are posted at 9.00am. Then it is up to yourselves.

The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Look out for seekeerz from Oz who provides the entertainment, refreshments and rule of law when dealing with that parallel game. In this case, the choice of words and their links are out of our control. They are the grey words chosen by Kate Mepham in her Crosswords in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday and Monday!

Have Fun.

I've got to keep off the booze Mazie as I have to collect daughter later!!....on a Friday night as well!
Speaking of chickens. There's a big rooster here who'd like me to shut down and cook some grub.
Au Revoir mon amies.
Until tomorrow and good luck to all.
It's the fish and meat that attracts me to morrisons, I get most of my veg from M&S and it knocks the spots of all the other supermarkets....sorry Jan. I go to Sainsburys every month to buy their gravy mix, it's the best you can get <does that help xxxx>
Jan there is no Sainsburys in Lichfield so I shop at Morrisons (just round the corner) but I do agree about their fruit and veg, it's not good at all and quite often is on shelves mouldy!!!!!
Au Revoir O-Ice
Ont-ice...get him to cook for you!!!

I think the men should start a veg garden near the shrubbery...save us women going to buy it then!!..We could just pick it up on Friday night!!
will let you off guys, just like to promote the firm

before she could get it!!

Think Kay is dizzy enough this week without the Bailey's!!

Now that January is over, I was wondering if I could get a pint of Guinness in The Shrubbery?

I should also tell you that I have been on my hands and knees all afternoon bringing my wife exquisite pleasure... the bathroom's not been so clean since it was first fitted..

Oops, must go, apparently have missed a bit...
Well, here's one mazie thats finished her bottle of red<I did have some help> so enjoy the rest of the shrubbery guys and I'll see you all next week

Lordy, ladies, you want well rotted manure for you veg patch come here and help yourselves - we have to pay to have it taken away!

All this talk of food and no drink is worrying me about whether the shrubbery is going teetotal; man can not live long on vol-au-vents and finger food or batons of veg dunked in dips. Next you will be offering goujons of low fat chicken breast lightly fried in a lager batter with a salad dressed in a grape oil vinaigrette.

Bring on steak and kidney pudding and ale, or beef wellington and claret.

Then the savouries and the port

Oh, then the brandy or armagnac and a helping hand to bed.
Evening all............just read through the posts....seems to be a shortage of blokes here tonight, too much female chat about shopping, I get enough of that here at home.
Well, a new month, and the first MM links contest I have been in from the very beginning.
Must tune my mind-reading technique into Fordwards thinking.
Whose round is it next ?
Thanks, paulineward, almost as good as the real thing and at least as good as the whiskey you supplied a couple of weeks ago!

Big Mac wondered what you were going to tell us, but if you're free my floor could do with a good clean as I can't bend down at the moment.
Jan daren't have a Baileys tonight as it says on my tablets "no alcohol" but last night had a Baileys and only drank half of it and the room was spinning at double speed.!!!!
I keep losing my connection tonight so may turn in next time it happens.
Pauline what have you been saying about me re. my age!!!!!! You know I am 7 years from a bus pass!!!!! LOL
must have the men on the run if we talk about shopping or gardening might keep them at bay (like dracular with thr crusifix) lol
