One quarter . . . . ( 3/4/3 )
4/9

a third of 4 is 4/3 and to represent it as a fraction of three you divide by 3 again 4/(3x3) = 4/9
4/9 . . . . you win Dundurn (clearly must be just under a half).
11/25
4/9
a third of 4 is 4/3
4/3=4/3rds of 1
4/3rds of 1 = 4/9ths of 3

check: 4/9ths of 3=(4/9) x 3=12/9=4/3 = a third of 4
Working it out in decimal form, we have 4/3 = 1.333334,
then 1.333334/3 = 0.444444.

Converting this to a fraction, we have 44/100 =22/50 = 11/25
but you can't convert 4/3 to a decimal as it produces a list of 3333333333333 that goes on forever.

4/3 is not 1.333333334

The answer 4/9 is correct.
I know the correct answer is 4/9. I was merely demonstrating that it could have been a trick question.

If you divide 4 by 9 you get 0.444444 recurring, just the same as dividing 11 by 25
Yes, 4/9 = 0.444444...

(11/25 = 0.44 exactly and therefore incorrect)
