Could anyone plse give me a clue as to this question:
What Italian word which actually means '400' is used to describe the style of Italian art of the 15th century, ie the years 1400-1499?
Thanks

Quattrocento
yeah babe it is a little different to us,

mille quattrocento (1400) is often shortened to quattrocento and perhaps written '400

but then you don't have to add one for the umpteenth time.
