My 16 year old cat has become very thin. His fur is not soft anymore and he is being sick.
We have recently discovered blood in his poos.
Obviously I have made an appointment at the vets but wondered if anyone had any ideas?

not exactly the same as your question, your cat is younger I know but 16 is quite a good age.
It may be the beginning of the end but may just be a tummy problem that your vet can sort out. 16 is a very good age and most cats don't last that long but they can go on for much longer, one of mine lasted until 19 but in the last year he was very thin, lost a lot of hair, and needed blood pressure tablets every day.
Good luck.
