Hi,no turkey is not bad for dogs, i assume you mean cooked.....however i have known of people give it raw but i would never do it.We have always given our dogs cooked white meat mixed with food when we need to,.ie, when they are off their food.
White meat with rice is a good fave when they are sick and they just eat it up like they never had a meal!!!
Always always make sure there are NO BONES unless you want a huge vet bill...........no to mention your poor dog being VERY POORLY.
Regards.
Turkey skin should not be given to dogs as it contains toxins. I am trying to find the list of poisonous foods and will post it as soon as I find it. I know someone else also has posted a list on here recently - possibly kita or divegirl?
Turkey is much better than China for dogs. In China they eat them.
Quite right eathfield, and sometimes they skin them alive for their fur coats.
Sorry about the 'h' but I am a cockney!
One of my dogs can't tolerate Chicken. It makes her sick and gives her the runs. So to be on the safe side, I never give her or my other one Turkey as I would think it would have the same effect on them as Chicken
My friend fed his dog some cooked turkey last Christmas, the dog was very ill, and the vet had to be called, the vet said that you should never feed your dog turkey, the dog did recover, but was quite ill for a few days, I don't chance it!
