If a helicopter had enough fuel to hover in one spot for 24 hours would it see the whole world revolve underneath it?

No, because the atmosphear in which the helicopter's hovering will also be revolving!
Also, by definition, hovering means keeping over the same point on the earth's surface. If the earth was revolving beneath the chopper, then it wouldn't be hovering.
The world spins at roughly 17.5 miles a minute at the equator which is, by my rekonin 1050 MPH. So that must be the speed you'd have to fly to keep in the same place [relative to the sun]. Then you'd see the earth passing under you but don't think there's a chopper built for that sort of speed. Better buy up one of the old Concords and fit big fuel tanks!
