If there was a bus lane I'd expect the ambulance to use it

Thanks Hymie for putting that up, very informative.

I would be happy to see a vehicle move out of my way into a bus lane when I was answering an emma call on the blues and twos.My only concern would be the driver put himself in danger and caused an accident. That would be classed as a vicinity only Polacc  and may count againstthe emergency driver, if say, a drver drove across a stop line and red traffic light in order to facilitate the emergency vehile albeit with the best intentions. When on the advanced ddriving course the mantra was' No emergency call will justify an accident'

Thanks Hymie, I will watch it later now I realise it's not Phil.

Yes. Me also. Not in a position to hear the script . Am in a very loud atmosphere. Impossible tohear it.

No. People have been booked for driving in a bus lane and making room for an emergency vehicle is not considered to be a good enough reason. It should be made very clear to all drivers so that emergency vehicles can use a bus lane safely; unfortunately most drivers can't be bothered to keep up-to-date with new rules.

Yep. If there's a bus ahead blocking the bus lane why would you not do that.
