I will go first one good thing about today is i dont have to wait for my parcel because it arrived yesterday so i can go out for a walk if i want

I can tell you something good about yesterday - if that's any good to you. I drove through a small town that was absolutely festooned with bunting for the queen's jubilee. A lovely sunny day with all the brightly coloured flags blowing in the breeze - a perfect lift after Covid and all the news of war and gloom. Just splendid!

It's less than 4 weeks until I go on my Hols.

I've got 2 good things....I've got the morning off work and I've got a builder coming round to look at my garden wall that was damaged during the storms in February. My insurance provider wants a quote and I've only just got round to it.

I drew back the curtain in the kitchen this morning to indicate to the birds that I was up and will be out feeding them now and I noticed one of my beautiful double red poppies had flowered and it was 'looking' right towards my kitchen window - lovely !

I'm going out for a carvery lunch today. Always very tasty and no mountain of dirty pots to tackle. And even better, I've got a voucher for 50% off.

My grocery box arrived at 7:30 (instead of usual late morning) so I had eggs for breakfast.

We have clear blue sky at the moment. I've just got back from a 40 mile round trip through Dorset countryside. Everything is soooo green, the hedgerows are full of cow parsley, pink campions and the last bits of bluebells. The leaves are bursting open on the trees and peoples' gardens are festooned with clematis, lilacs and early roses.

It's a sunny day here in Belfast with hardly a cloud in the sky. I'll get out for a walk later.
Today is also my 6th day without cigarettes. I haven't kicked the nicotine habit but replaced the cancer sticks with Nicotinell lozenges.
All is good.

After such a long time it’s been just wonderful to visit family in the UK and see what they’ve done to their home and garden since my last visit. Stunning changes and this time with no gardening help from Mum. :-)
The one good thing today? Heading back to Ireland!

After a few weeks of trying to bake the perfect loaf of bread trying different ways/ methods/ additions. I cracked it this morning. Soft, white, crusty on the outside. I'm now going to have brunch with it, along with some grilled bacon. :)

Sun is shining and the birds are singing. Had a lovely dog walk on the local common. Reggie met his doggie friends. Just back from Fowey. Happy days

Wonderful day yesterday. After a painful morning, today has just been cheered by the sun and a lovely friend came round and we has school laugh. Just been joined on the sofa by the dog and one of the cats, which always cheers me up.
