Earlier I said to OH. Will you do something about the sellotape? He asked what I meant. I said did I say sellotape I meant carbon paper. He asked me what I wa talking about. I realised I was talking gibberish. I meant clingfilm. It had gone wrong in the dispenser. I can't do it as I have not full feeling in my fingers and can't sort clingfilm out. I do keep getting words wrong though.

And missing words out.
Mention it to the GP next time you speak Caran.
You're suffering from Lockdown Brain Fog Caran, and you're not alone. With less variety in our lives through staying home, fewer conversations or challenges for our brains, they're becoming sluggish.

Its a thing, I read an article about it. We'll be fine once we can get out again and have new expereinces to get the brain going again.

Thank you Maydup, that makes me feel so much better.
Mamya’s advice is good but I think Maydup is spot on. I’ve being doing exactly the same. Surprising myself with my gibberish and wrong words.
A zoom quiz or days like today chatting with villagers and all the sharpness comes back. I can even feel the difference.
We’ll be fine when we can socialise again.
Gness - post for you in R&S.
The main reason I mentioned the GP is that this isn't the first time Caran has posted on this topic but I'm sure the above are right.
nominal dysphasia
( naming things and getting it wrong)

I fink we all do it to be honest - I only realise when I hear the words and fink .... hold on that aint right

hey there was one time when I was asked "what is your name"
and I said - I cannot remember what my name is
the police laughed
might be
might be chrissakes
I think I might BE losing it
I have done it all my (talking) life....I wonder if my brain did it before I could verbalise?
Maybe I'm just reading these to make myself feel better, but if it makes us all feel better than thats good!

just as good as an ex-Blue Peter presenter on R4 yesterday going on about double-sided plastic tape - they weren't able to refer to the brand "Sellotape" on air, even though it has almost become a generic word.
