..and sad is my Grand Da this morning lifting his arms above his head like a cheeky toddler all wreathed in smiles when I put a new top on him then quite suddenly his lip quivering and him bursting into tears and saying 'My Ma and Da will be so ashamed of me when they visit because I'm going off my rocker...'.
His parents both died in the 1960's. That proper got me today :( x
They may, Tony....quiz numbers have being going down of late though so it may not be worth it.
Shame as it's the only pub in the village but isn't well supported these days....when we first started going you couldn't move for folk quizzing or eating and drinking....sign of the times maybe?
Looks really nice, Sanmac...but not my cup of tea..x
Yeah,it's awful. He's generally so much better but the suddeness of the change this morning had me crying like a baby, poor old soul. Still my Dad is here tomorrow, so yay that'll cheer him up a bit hopefully. x
My sad thing is turning up for the quiz, seeing none of our team, checking my phone and finding a message from earlier in the day saying they couldn't make it! Usually lend myself out as a ringer for another team!
Zebo...two of our team dashed a long way to make it back home in time....as we were trying the pub door they sent a text.....won't be long.....
We toddled off to their house to stop them rushing...opened a bottle and asked each other questions.... :-)
