I sincerely hope so.
I dearly hope not.
Ever the remainer Jim, no matter what.
No Deal is bad for the country. Why should I want that?
Did you read the link Jim?
I glanced at it, but, to be blunt, I don't believe that anonymous civil servant. I'll certainly accept their point that the current approach by Theresa May is to emphasise the risks of a No Deal scenario, alongside presenting only the Withdrawal Agreement as an alternative, in order to force that through. Where we differ -- where, I should note, almost everyone who has ever studied the impacts, differ -- is whether or not the government is selling a fiction.

jim surely no deal is better than the deal on offer? No denying there will be issues but I think we'll quickly firefight them and in the medium term no deal would turn out to be better than BRINO.
Jim, are you saying that you think May's deal(aka Bad deal) is good for this country?
I think that's an overly optimistic analysis. I mean, obviously, as a Remainer, I feel that the best thing is to stay in the EU properly anyway. But, leaving that aside for the moment, if the end goal is leaving the EU, why is it so important that that happens as soon as possible? The Withdrawal Agreement is rotten in the short-term, but it leads to a smoother and less economically damaging transition. On the other hand ripping out of the EU with nothing in place to replace it would lead to more than just "issues".
Danny, your post appeared as I was typing -- hopefully I've replied anyway, but in case I didn't, then: no, I don't. But I think No Deal is worse.
No Deal ,is a No -Brainer , only No Brainers would want it .
Jim, May's deal ties us to the Eu without having a vote or any say im matters which might affect us.Do you honestly believe that this is good for this country?

None of this is good for the country but this is what you get when you let Turkeys vote for Christmas.

democracy not your thing then kval?
//I think we'll quickly firefight them//

Why? Which aspects of the government's performance so far gives you any basis for such a wildly optimistic prediction?
Come on, danny, what don't you understand about my position?

May's Deal is bad for the UK; No Deal is worse. That's as clear as I can get.
Question Author
kromo, necessity is the mother of invention.
Sorry Jim, but I cannot accept that May's deal is worse than no deal.Guess we will just have to have our own views on this.
oops ^no deal is worse than May's deal^
