James McAvoy.
Samantha Fox - oops, Emilia Fox
DTC - giving your age away?
Idris Elba.......yum!!
Idris Elba for me too
Great taste Rockrose!!
Margo Tester.....but in my fantasy world anything is possible..........................!!!!
I can also remember Daniel Craig saying he wouldn't be in the next Bond film ... but he was. Never say never.
Idris Elba would be good ;-)) As long as they don't choose a female, that would be really stupid, nothing at all to do with the original story.
I don't know why everyone swoons over Idris Elba. Can't see the attraction, myself.
Maybe Ewan McGregor?
what, a Scottish Bond???
Some say that Ian Fleming based James Bond on himself.
Ian Fleming was RNVR ( wavy navy) a commander in Naval Intelligence during WW2 and worked at times at Bletchley.
Unthinkable to have a black actor playing a former RN Commander turned Intelligence agent.Keep this old favourite away from the altar of PC and diversity.
Some thinks are sacred and should be left as they are.
James Bond is a made up character therefore he or she can ba anyone!
Henry Cavill.
It'll probably be Sheridan Smith. :-//
Nothing to do with being ‘correct’ or not.... Idris Elba is very easy on the eye.....
I'm with Retrocop on this. Having read all the Fleming books James Bond has certain characteristics, for example he is half-Scottish, half-Swiss.
I think Tom Hiddlestone would make a good Bond.
Was Daniel. Craig half Scots and Swiss?
//Bond has certain characteristics// compromising some of the "as written" characteristics would not detract from the tone of the stories - for instance a black bond would still be bond. a non scots bond would still be bond. but a female in the role would not. that's not to say a film about a female secret agent would not be marketable, but it wouldn't be bond. bond was portrayed very much as a womaniser, so unless the female "bond" was a lesbian...… but that might still be too big a step, even for 2019.
