I've just been to Joe Blogg's funeral.....

Oh really, is he dead then?.....x
turning hot tap on, hot water spurts out, 'ooh, that's hot'

yep, indeed, no sherbet Sherlock
It's pouring down with rain....'well it wouldn't be pouring up would it?'
"It's pouring down". We'd have a lot to worry about if it was "pouring up".
great minds... ^^
Great minds, cupid:-)
Another is, "Wow, that sun's hot today, isn't it?" Whilst fully understanding what people imply when they utter those words, i do wonder if they realise that the sun remains at a constant temperature - and it is always hot!
I can only think of stupid questions to which the answer is obvious.

I remember my mother having a sales phone call after we got home from my grandfather's funeral (salesperson was known to the family). "He is unable to take the call, he has just buried his father". To which the response was "did **** die then?". No you *** we buried him alive........

Or on presenting a sample to the Doctor's receptionist "Did the doctor ask you to do that?". "No, love, I always give a pot of p*** to people I have never met before".

When we children were driving her nuts my mum used to say, "One of these days you'll find me amongst the missing".
lol Baz, some questions are worth repeating a few years later :-)
oh Pied, yep and 'she has a new baby'

There are more questions than answers....oops wrong thread ;-)) xx
It's freezing cold.
New can be used in the sense of 'another', e.g. I've got a new car does not necessarily mean that it's brand new.
do starjumps Tilly, that'll warm you up :D
'Best foot forward'

Which foot would that be?
