Window Cleaner In The Pouring Rain....

No, it's not the refrain of a song.....just a casual enquiry and observation. I wonder how many on AB have a regular window cleaner? Being proud to be unhouseproud I never have. The street has no view worth gazing at and I don't sit worrying about streaks on glass. If things get too grubby I give them a clean and then find something interesting to do.
A man with a ladder and a bucket comes round about every month and does all the houses that pay him. He climbs a ladder, wipes once with a squeegey and once with a chamois. He is doing this at the moment with the rain clattering down, as it often does here, and I have seen him often working in rainy weather.
The question I'm asking is, am I missing something, because surely the rain is simply going to mess up what's just been cleaned?
Or, in my negligent outlook, have I missed an essential secret of keeping a perfect home?

The rain will not reapply the dirt that has just been washed off, smeary is one thing, dirt is another.

But Ratter - when it rains then evaporates the car is all dusty - you can see the particles that have come down....and I wouldn't leave washing out in the rain for the same reason....
Maybe so, sometimes, but using the same logic it's not worth cleaning anything as it just gets dirty again. I guess if you have a regular customer schedule, as opposed to just knocking on doors and asking if they want a one off window clean, then the best you can do is say the weather is a factor out of your control, the customer either gets lucky on the day; or doesn't. It's unlikely the windows will be as dirty as they started anyway.
The essential secret of keeping a perfect home is to live in fantasy land.
Window cleaner did ours in the rain this morn
My window cleaner comes once a week come rain or shine. Living in Scotland, it rains often! Too often for my liking but if I know my windows are clean, then that's good enough for me.
Window cleaner every week - are you joking?!
Window cleaners need to make a living, the same as anyone else. They go out in the wind and rain to clean your windows and make a living.
A window cleaner in the Lake District wouldn't make much of a living if he didn't clean windows in the rain.
Used to have a window cleaner until he got vertigo (no, really!)
I usually wait until the rain stops and then nip out with my squeegee and then use a damp cloth to wipe the window sills.
Our new window cleaner made his first call yesterday at 16:20....in the dark...I thought that a little strange...
