I had an e-mail yesterday asking me to sign a petition to stop that. I think it is in bad taste, how would Reeva's family feel.
i love a punt but only on animals with four legs
Oh, that is bad :-(

I hope the jury doesn't get to hear about this. They might be tempted to go for the verdict that has the longest price.
It's shockingly bad tste but don't betters just care about their odds of winning rather than what they're betting on?
@Sandy - It is probably fortunate there is no jury deciding his fate then ;) Just a Judge/ Tribunal
I wish id had a bet on the Conrad murray trial !

Justice is safe then. We all know judges would never let outside considerations sway their decisions.

that was an innocent reply and not intended as a sick joke about legs

I'm sure there was no offence intended and none taken.
In the past I've backed a few horses and wondered if they had the full complement of limbs.
I am for people power and freedom of speech, I don't even mind taking a punt or two (rarely) but disgusted by this.
Whilst the whole thing may be in bad taste, having looked at the prices PP are offering, makes me wonder if they know something. A guilty verdict is 2/7, not guilty 9/4.
sorry, Sandy, never noticed you'd already posted about it.

there's a petition to get Paddy Power to stop this and donate any profits to women's charities on the This Stinks thread.
Just checked again, chewn, and the odds are as i posted.

chewn; i have just gone through the motions of putting a bet on a guilty verdict and the price i would be given were i to actually log on and place the bet is 2/7. The price on any bet is bound to fluctuate and perhaps the odds compilers at PP had originally believed that Pistorius would walk free, seeing as how they originally quoted 7/4. However, having listened to the evidence so far, they have obviously had a change of mind.
