I'm just back in so can now open The Shrubbery - a little later than usual.

But first, may I make a plea to anyone thinking of sending for one of my quizzes - Please use the correct size of stamp appropriate to the size of envelope used. It doesn't make economic sense for me to pay £1.19 to receive an envelope that most likely only contains £1. (No, It wasn't you, Ray Stocks, yours is on its way back to you.)

Back to the main purpose of this post: To remind you of the two guessing games tomorrow morning in Q&P. This is week 4 of 5 so there is still time to make a late challenge for the finish. Everyone is welcome to join in.

The MM Links Game is being set by 'Princess Di', (aka Grannydi) and after an introduction at 8:45am, the challenge will be posted at 9:00. Early players are more likely to claim bonus points.

Our sister game, the KM Links will be launched by seekeerz early on Saturday. No rush there - play anytime before midnight Sunday.

The Shrubbery is now open for socialising.

Until tomorrow then - Happy Linking

hello gen2 - i sent off for your quiz last mon, used a normal 2nd class stamp as the envelope wasn't large and the weight was less than 100g. Hope I'm not the culprit who has underpaid!? Regards, Roslyn
I have lost count of the number of times that I've had to travel 10mls to the main sorting office to pick up an item of mail posted with insufficient stamps for its size/weight. When it is handed over to me, after I have paid the required fee, I discover that it is a request for one of my quizzes with a £1.00 coin and stamped self-addressed envelope inside.

Roslyn, I haven't yet received anything from you so it is likely to be your envelope. The 'Payment Due' card is dated 15/11.
Will it be worth my while to pay £1.19 to collect it? The Post Office hold it for 18 days.
It's got the £1 coin inside and 2 sae's. can't understand why there's not enough on it - it seemed to fit the criteria.
I'll send another £1 on Monday - a cheque this time!!
Actually £1.19!
