Is that abuse? can a father spy on his daughter like that?

I know his intentions were not pervy but all the same, severe breach of trust I would say.

ps I know it's a made up story.
When my daughter had her boyfriends over, she had to leave the bedroom door open.
Would Freudian Psychoanalysts say that in this joke he was expressing a subconscious wish?
No Sandy, they would say he was suffering from Richard Cranium Syndrome
He's maybe trying to put across the message to any prospective boyfriend that he is watching his daughter's moves and will not stand for any nonsense with his little girl?

If he comes across as a tyrant, he may put off any unsuitable young men?

I do hope he hasn't really put a camera in her room, though.
