not, shirts shouldn't need ironing
If he wants to iron it himself :)
Absolutely not, not ever, never. If your valet ironed your shirt with a crease, you would be excused for sacking him.
I bet the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Westminster never wore a creased shirt in their lives - ever
I did used to put them in my sons' shirts when he waited at table , only because I could not be faffing around with a sleeve board. !
What is this "ironing" thing that folk keep talking about??
What about the linen, and 100% cotton ones... they look awful not ironed.

Thanks, not applicable here, but I thought I remembered someone who ironed his own shirts because he didn't want a crease in the sleeves.
I used to stand and iron fifteen shirts every Sunday night for years .
Crease in .If I'd faffed about with a sleeve board I would still have been ironing the ruddy things on a Monday morning .I have never sent my menfolk out in an unironed shirt and I have yet to come across a shirt that doesn't need ironing .
I always put a crease in my sleeves.
Absolutely essential.

All my shirts are 100% cotton and need ironing and also a crease in the sleeve.

My boxer shorts are also iron.

I've been ironing shirts from an early age (my school uniform) and always put a crease in the sleeve
It's a whole new world...
after taking a shirt out of the washing machine just put it on a hanger, it will dry without creases. especially if pegged out on a windy day.
I do.
^^^Meaning...I do put a crease in shirt sleeves.
Definitely creases in, although himself doesn't wear formal shirts these days and the kids all wear polo shirts for school. I iron all clothes that are going to be seen by other people (but not bedding, pj's, etc). I can't do adult sized trousers though, I can only do up to age 13 (if himself needs trousers he does them himself - as an ex-army officer his ironing is excellent (but v slow)).

Arent they a bit uncomfortable and likely to rust?
infact, apart from my white linen summer trousers, or my grandaughters cotton summer frock I ironed a while ago , I haven't used the iron in months and months. Not likely to either.
RATTER.....LOL...I wondered how long it would take to pick up that error...LOL
ratter, he's up to play the lead in "The Man with the Iron Pants".
