Politicians would be on the bottom / near bottom of most people's list to invite to a dinner party .

Is there a polictician that you would invite ?

LOL...John Prescott....I have a great admiration for his achievements.
Tony Blair.....I find whitty and would like to hear is decision to enter the
middle ground of politics to get Labour into Government.

Lloyd George....to chat about his success with women.
Boris Johnson.
Some of berlusconi's women mp's would be more than welcome.
BoJo would be entertaining. I reckon having him and Dennis Skinner at the same dinner table might make for an interesting conversation :)
i suspect they have more in common than you think.
@ Em and where in my post did I suggest otherwise?
I saw a late night programme where the guests were Michael Portillo and Ed Balls. Their personalities seemed to work well together and both seemed to have a sense of humour. I`d probably have them and maybe someone old school like Tony Benn (met him once and he was a nice man). Probably Andy Burnham because he`s pretty. I wouldn`t bother with any of the women politicians though - they`d probably bore me to tears.
mo mowlam (if she were still alive) I'd also invite tony Benn
Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone, both of whom are capable of being witty and both of whom have a nice line in self-deprecation. Tony Benn? Good on political philosophy and C20 history but limited otherwise,I suspect
why do you call him BoJo, and i didn't suggest that, but going on the reputation that Dennis Skinner has it seemed you might believe that there would be a clash of personalities and fireworks.
as to Ken Livingstone, not a chance, he wouldn't grace any party of mine.
Ken Livingstone, John Prescott, George Galloway, and that miserable old sod Dennis Skinner, would definitely be barred!

I'd invite Boris and a contingent from QI and HIGNFY, including Stephen Fry and Ian Hislop. What a hoot!
Stephen definitely, and probably Ian, erudite, funny, add in Boris, that would be a good dinner, conversation...
John Prescott would bring his own chips, those on his shoulders.
He could have those with the eggs that man threw at him! :o)
I certainly wouldn't have George Galloway anywhere near my house. Now there's a fine example of a great intellect gone to waste.
I'd love to meet Dennis Skinner though
Have you got room for two Jags outside though em ?.
no, he is an oaf, or should that be oeuf?
rather Frank Field than Dennis Skinner...
Each to their own. Dennis Skinner is forthright in his views and has no problems expressing them.

And BoJo is just an interesting person. Not someone I warm to particularly, but he has intelligence and is able to tell a joke.

I think he and Skinner would be quite happily fence with each other across a dinner table.
