pikelet
The answer may be pikelet, but a pikelet is not a small crumpet. It's a totally different thing . At least in Stoke it is.
pikelet ?
crumpet might be a diferent thing in Stoke as well !
Pikelets have sultanas/raisins, crumpets have holes, paul
I'm guessing it's crumpets with holes you want, paul, rather than things with raisins
According to Chambers pikelet covers teacakes, crumpets and muffins.
Jno, are you writing double entendres? I wasn't.
I don't care what Chambers says, Howard. A pikelet is not the same as a crumpet in Stoke.
don't tell them your name pikelet
Stupid boy !
my mum's pikelets were pretty much small pancakes, but no raisins. I never asked her what the difference was, as I don't make them myself.
It's not here in Walsall, Tilly.
someone else saying theere's no real difference

http://morethanburntt...kelet-or-crumpet.html

probably a southern softy
It has to be pikelet though as that's the only word that fits the grid in the Brain Games crossie today.
Where's Andy Hughes and Stokemaverick when you want them? Am I the lone pikelet defender?
one of my mum's pikelets would be sufficient to defend against a hundred spears and arrows.
