I have placed two pictures, one of her as a very young Queen in all her regalia and one that was on the front of the Mirror of her as an older woman with the words 'Thank you'. I thought there may be others, but I seem to be the only one in my road who has done it. I will remove them after the funeral.

We have the Union flag flying at half mast from our flag pole at the front of the house.
No, nor do I see anything in the windows of surrounding houses. However, most of the shops in town do have pictures in their windows.
My wife and I haven't done what you have done, but we are wearing black armbands when we go out. This morning, my wife was in the dentist's waiting room, and an elderly lady struck up a conversation with her, about the suitability of King Charles for his new job. My wife believes that her black armband was what sparked off the conversation.

How lovely to have a flag pole and to be able to do that.

Yes, I've seen pictures in shops in town, but not as many as I thought I would see.

I haven't seen any black armbands at all.

I can see people looking at my pictures and smiling.
No. Like many, no doubt, I don't feel the need to wear black, wear a black arm-band, sign a condolence book or stick something in my window to show the world how much i respected the late Queen.
I will most likely observe the 2 minute silence proposed for 8pm Sunday night but it will be in the privacy of my own home. Not on the doorstep checking which neighbours are doing the same.
Funnily enough on my trips to town I’ve seen not a single sign anywhere.
The Vodafone shop said they cancelled a balloon launch for the iPhone 14 :-)

Who said I was checking my neighbours? I just noticed as I walked up the road to go out. Also, I don't care if I am the only one, it's just an observation, that's all.
I know you didn't say you were checking your neighbours. Then again, neither did i!
You sound out of sorts, Ken. Unlike you. Are you ok?

It's the final straw for me naomi. I haven't posted much, but I've really tried and I've been met with nastiness and sarcasm a few times.
I know someone on here, but we decided to keep it quiet as he said the site needs new members, so I just joined and tried to be friendly, it hasn't worked, so I'm off. New members beware!!
we have a flag at half mast except saturday for 24 hours when it went full mast for Charles iii
Fine Naomi. Just finding it all a tad tedious that folk have to announce how they are showing their respect for the late Queen. Bit like bragging about what they did for Ukraine or how much they give to certain charities.

Oh dear, looks like i've caused a 'flounce':-/
"I've been met with nastiness and sarcasm" on this post? WHere??
We've still got Union Flags on lampposts and electricity posts up and down my street from the jubilee.
I know what you mean, Ken, but I don’t think teafortwo meant to do that. I hope she/he reconsiders.

Teafortwo/ It was only last Wednesday when you were welcomed by some ABers to the site - don't go! You gotta have a thick skin to stay on here!
I have done nowt.
She did a good job, but was handsomely rewarded.
The baton has gone to Charles. Hope he gets the same adulation from the nation.
Nothing local...but shops in town had signs expressing condolences, they were national chains.
Ken, some folk on CB chat as if they were chatting with friends or family over a cup of tea. That's what the OP did here.
Used to happen quite a lot and was good, especially for those of us living alone in a new town.

Hope you look in and reconsider, teafortwo.
