anyone have plans for the day? I am sorting books out for a friend - who reads a lot, though she says there is no hurry, so will drop those off for her probably later today/tomorrow.

birdies must still be asleep, can't say i blame you. I could do with a few more hours, but the weird dreams often wake me up. I have my coffee and that will keep me going for a while,

not too bad, knees hurt but that's not something i can do much about,

Still dark outside but it's stopped raining now.

its still dark here, the mornings have lost their light sadly, still it is autumn, its not raining here at the minute, i hope it doesn't, as i am going out quite early.

I have knee trouble too but not bad enough to have something done about them yet. I would probably have long wait anyway.

i am the same, i have no idea what the future holds but surgery may have to be an option one day. I can't think that far ahead mind you.

how is your wife getting on?

I don't like these dark days and colder weather. Give me summer anytime.

She is much improved now thanks. Gets tired after walking or doing things but that is to be expected. We are getting there though.

me too, i don't like the winter, it puts me off going out. last Christmas was a nightmare, down, and almost out.

glad to hear she is getting much better...

Yes we usually have all the family around at Christmas but that couldn't happen last year. Lets hope Boris doesn't have to limit things for this year. We may find out later today.

i don't think there will be any more lockdowns, if there were i am sure many would just ignore it, i haven't seen my brothers and their families for 13 months, its hard being so far away.

I know what you mean about family being away from where you live. I have seen 2 of mine this year but just for a short time. One came for a quick visit to see us after wife's fall as she couldn't make our son's wedding and seen brother at the wedding. Apart from that just the odd call now and then. We all have our own families so that makes it a bit harder too.
