Wednesday. Frosty this morning. I hope it warms up!

The ongoing saga. The wee men turned up. Late. Promises were not kept and I still have no shower. Some tiling done, but not grouted. They left early. Words will said on the phone later. Once again I've had to cancel something today I was looking forward to, and the person I was taking out for the day is also disappointed. We've rescheduled for next week.

Just to add to the fun, t'internet is getting up to it's tricks again.

Such fun I'm having! :o{

Have a happy day everyone.

Bummer old mate..

Don't know whether to post words of consolation or wind you up and point you in their direction.

One day it will be done and dusted, then you will be able to shower your old carcass again ;-)

Afternoon oz. Thanks ole mate. It should all have been finished over a week ago. I don't need winding up mate. I've done that myself. Even in army days I didn't like having to bark at people, so when it's inevitable I give it both barrels!

How's things in downsideupland today mate?
Question Author
...to continue. At this rate by the time it's up and running KI'll block the drains when I finally get a shower! :o}
All good downsideup thanks. Plodding along.

If Mrs Oz asked about a full on bathroom renovation my reply would be "4 weeks with me doing it, 4 days with professionals".

Bit of a cost difference, take your pick ;-)
Are you a crusty old *** ? ;-)

At the moment.....
Question Author
I could have done the lot myself in half the time it's taken so far.

The only consolation...of sorts...is I'm not paying for it!
//Bug her//

;-)

Didn't realise it was such a disgusting word ;-/

Ho Yus! :o}
Question Author
I knew what you meant! ;o}
Not much consolation when you are being stuffed about from pillar to post.
Question Author
It's not so much the time it's taking, it's A) Their work ethic and B) I don't like having to let people down because of it. That's something I'm never liked going.
An agreement should be binding, contracts shouldn't matter, a handshake should suffice.

People that make a verbal agreement with me, then when I've done my part weasel out I'd like to shoot, electrocute, hang from the yardarm, keelhaul etc. (better stop now)

If they are contracting to your local council they should be honouring said agreement. If for some valid reason they can't a phone call or txt is all it takes.

Just to add to the carp, while chopping some mushrooms to make creamed mushrooms I took a slice out of my finger, big flap of skin hanging off, claret all over the place. It ain't half awkward trying to stop the flow and put a dressing on with one hand at the same time. I managed it though. I think I'll hibernate!
Question Author
My thinking exactly oz. I can't see them keeping the contract much longer. I'm not the only one.
Morning Boaty xx Oz xx

Oooh Boaty, I hate those wee slices of body parts that bleed continuously.

I'd rather a break, bruise or decent gash ;-/
