I recently posted a thread about the increase in cases of teenage murders, this is yet another case in just a few days.

No real deterrent, no prevention (discipline in society), children not being brought up to respect anyone/anything...and lots more. That's what Britain has come to and IMO will only get worse as people don't give a jot about anyone but themselves.
Nonsense Daisya. Some people bring their children up with respect, some don't, that's always been the case.

Anyway, isn't it a bit early to be jumping to conclusions?
Ummmm I was generalising....I'm sorry I didn't appear to be impartial!

(waits for AOG to cherry pick phrases out of context as normal)
Daisya - so you've made your mind up on very limited facts?
I don't recall the number (as of today) of murders being committed when I was young. It was certainly a big news story when there was a murder then...nowadays it's not always headline news and often it's at least one murder a day reported now. I can only comment as I find and look at things just like everyone who posts on here, opinion of the writer. Not all opinions are going to accepted.
God bless the jury system eh?
Ummm I see how society has changed, how selfish people seem to have become, I voice my opinion on what happens now to what happened years ago and come to a conclusion. I didn't make my mind up on this murder, I feel that the change in society is how this happens...sorry if you don't agree but like you....I have my opinion.
Youngsters to-day think what they see in films on TV is the norm, and cannot see fake from fact. Bring back National Service to point them in the right direction.
Take care calrton you might be criticised for having an opinion contrary to "the norm"...! I agree with you though <smirk>
I'm not being critical just because I have a difference of opinion.

Things have changed because we have 24/7 news now.
"Hitting him with her head"
A phrase that paints an interesting picture!
LOL @ carlton, I think the provost Sargent would be the busiest man in the battalion.
Well if that wasn't criticism of my opinion then I don't know what is. I am fed up on here of people taking others to task because they have a view different to those who think they are right. Each to his own afaic...no wonder first timers posting will often feel intimidated by some of the reactions on here, I feel sorry for them. I think everyone is entitled to give an opinion but not taken to task for doing so! >>>>flounces off>>>> (sorta)
Ha ha agree with you daisya .....
This is the news section, just in case you hadn't noticed. We are allowed a difference of opinion and we are allowed to direct that at other posters.
She is clearly unwell. '...Examined by mental health doctors.'
A slight over reaction daisya don't you think?
If they have called the mental health team in that quickly then she must be showing obvious signs of mental illness.
I agree that news is very much in our faces these days, in the past newspaper stories were not so far flung and plentiful. There have always been dysfunctional families and people in the past, this difference is that people kept these things private and hidden away.
