I recently posted a thread about the increase in cases of teenage murders, this is yet another case in just a few days.

What is the % increase?

When are you comparing it with?

Are posting scare stories when these incidents are very rare?
Ignore myquestions.

You meant teenage murderers not teenage murders.
Chucks link is very interesting.
I would like to emphasise...

"The United Kingdom recently came bottom in a league of 21 industrialised nations for child quality of life, leading to headlines warning that British children are “the unhappiest in the western world”. The chief executive of the Children’s Society, Bob Reitemeier, said the report was a “wake-up call to the fact that, despite being a rich country, the UK is failing children… in a number of crucial ways”.

This situation cannot be attributed to children’s misbehaviour; it is rather the fault of an adult society which has come to see “youth” as a harmful social category. Misplaced nostalgia for the past has dangerous consequences"

Just look at the excuses:

/// Things have changed because we have 24/7 news now. ///

Haven't we had 24/7 news since the invention of the Television, The Radio, and the publishing of daily Newspapers?

/// There have always been dysfunctional families and people in the past, this difference is that people kept these things private and hidden away. ///

Oh so these sort of crimes were in the past kept private and hidden away were they?

/// She is clearly unwell. '...Examined by mental health
doctors.' ///

And do you think anyone that kills a person in such away is sane?

Is it not you who is cherry picking?

Your history book lesson as nothing to do with teenage murderers.

If there had been this amount of teenage murders years ago then the public executioner would have be forced to sub-contract some work out.
//Haven't we had 24/7 news since the invention of the Television, The Radio, and the publishing of daily Newspapers? //

Errrr, No. How many channels did we used to have compared to what we have now?

//And do you think anyone that kills a person in such away is sane? //

Yes, some of them are.
"Haven't we had 24/7 news since the invention of the Television, The Radio, and the publishing of daily Newspapers?"

Nope.

I can't remember exactly when this was revoked, but well into the 1950s newspapers were forbidden from reporting events in parliament for a set amount of time (I think two weeks but may be wrong). Plus opening a newspaper once every morning - or maybe tuning into televison at a proscribed time, on maybe one channel, in the evening is not by any stretch of defintiion '24/7 news coverage'. That's a phrase only really applicable to the CNN era of the past few decades.

I'm becoming increasingly suspicious that you are actually the age you say you are.
