"Sharia Penal Codes Would Benefit Britain"

So says a leading Muslim of the Islamic Sharia Council who presides over a Court in east London dealing with Sharia Law matters.

Who agrees, or disagrees, with his claims?

Is Britain gradually coming to accept such forms of "justice"?

Would it be a good or a bad thing for Britain?

N.B. These are not necessarily my views. I'm interested to know what others think.(Just before people misunderstand me - again).

Didn't I say in my very last sentence what few would say now. Because that is an easy way out when you do not have a proper argument or reasoning.

I could have easily ignored you Naomi, but I know you would post a different thread that keyplus did not give answer to my question. Afterall I have heard that all the time. Simplest answer is that my wife does not like heat. Now let me know if you are satisfied with that. But I know you never will be.

And yes I would say one more thing yet once again. A good number of people are talking about more severe punishments and incidently these punishments are closer to what Sharia law says. But I know people have problem with word Sharia so name it something else but fact is that sooner or later you would need that.

Keyplus � It's always your contention that there is no �true� Islamic society/country on this Earth. Because, as far as I can tell, you think that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc. have all got it wrong.

Please could you enlighten me as to what would constitute a "True" Islamic society in your eyes?
