hi i hope this doesnt affend anyone or even make them sick,well i suffer with heavy periods ive asked for advice on here before,i came on my period on sunday i had a very bad pain in my tum,went to the toilet, i looked and it was like blood but skin as well,im so scarred havent got a clue what it was,i do have clots when im on but this was no clot,please anyone know what it was,im sorry if this sound awful

Go to your doctor- It could be fibroids - but whatever it is, best for a professional to treat you.

It's probably just the womb-lining, which is shed every month during your period, and nothing to worry about. But have a word with your Doctor to put your mind at rest.

tradey please don't be too embarrassed to see your GP. S/he has seen problems like yours (and very much worse) a hundred times before. Trust me, our male docs usually track me down as their chaperone and all any of us want to do is reassure and help our patient (dunno why they always ask me cos I'm usually narky with the docs - the patients seem to like me tho, I suppose it must show that I care) I really must try and hide that!!!! I agree with scatty mare - it is probably womb lining. It has happened to me in the past with a heavy period. I actually was so frightened that I collected the evidence and took in to the GP. They did do a pregnancy test as well as sending the offending matter for analysis, as it could have indicated a miscarriage!, but it was just womb lining.

Please see your doctor though, if only to put your mind at rest.

thankyou to everyone who emailed me back about this, ive booked to go to the docs yet again,it maybe the womb lining but ive never noticed this before thats what made me scarred,fingers crossedits just that.cheers everyone
