It seems our beloved first minister did not put on her happy face when meeting Boris today in Scotland,Boris will not agree to a second referendum on independence for Scotland,he said the first result should stand and he is right,in my opinion.

Personally I've no objection to a second Scottish referendum. I sincerely believe that the result would be the same as the first one, but I hope I'm wrong.
Wishing the break-up of the UK too? What a sad state of affairs.
Think of the cost of a second referendum. I don't suppose the remainers would accept the result even if it were the same as the first time around.
He's right in my opinion too.
2nd ref on Scottish break away, not EU freedom.

Nicola rarely seems happy. Maybe she should join a UK party rather than a partisan Scotland one. Then she could work for the nation's benefit instead of trying to cause her country problems.
I doubt Boris and Ruth Davidson seen eye-to-eye either.

If I can be Bernard for a moment, minister, one can't gun for someone with a claymore.
yeah that thought struck me - like a gunshot
( claymores dont fire anything)

extensive ( and mutilating) surgery then
Haaaa! Very good Douglas. :o)
// anne's going to be gunning for you, Pete, claymorz n all...//

the be-skirted scot hacks at the cowering sarsenark, with a grim determined look on her face
the claymore swinging like a dont-know-what, a swinging thing

no no it was a joke the mauled body whimpers, I promise.... not to do it again.

Too late she snarls, I do funny, I am going for your funny bone!

Were it not for the SNP and Mr Blair's preposterous devolution arrangements I doubt I'd hold such a view, Jim (despite the extra English money it costs to keep the Scots in the manner to which they have become accustomed). I've no particular wish to see the break-up of the UK, but since successive governments have been unwilling or unable to tackle the ludicrous “Barnett” formula (discredited even by its own author) and have added to that insult by failing to address the West Lothian question I think the time has come to call it a day.

Scotland is home to about 8% of the UK’s population. It has its own Parliament which enjoys control over substantial sums of budget to spend on areas of policy devolved from Westminster. It has 59 MPs at Westminster who enjoy the privilege of voting on matters that affect only England. Public spending on the Scots is about £2,000 per head greater than on the English. No other 8% of the population enjoys anything like that level of privilege but we have the continual whingeing of Ms Sturgeon and her pals, complaining that they are hard done by and oppressed by their masters in England.

The United Kingdom was all fine and dandy when it was based on fairness and equality. Mr Blair drove a coach and horses through those attributes when he introduced his devolution arrangements. So, enough is enough. Let them have their independence so long as their “leaving deal” does not involve even more lorry loads of English fivers being carted up the M6.
I suspect the majority of English, would be quite happy with Scottish "independence". However, while Britain is a whole... I don't see why there is even a separate party for Scotland.

Yes and no more lorry loads of Buckfast to be carted up the M6 without a massive levy as well. :))
I'm not concerned about Scotland and independence , if they go they go and if they stay they stay,no big deal
//However, while Britain is a whole... I don't see why there is even a separate party for Scotland.//
Or Wales, or N.I. Pixie. We should surely have an English parliament...….or is that racist?
judge, bang on, makes you wonder why wee Jimmy wants to leave.
Well, Togo, there should either be one for Scotland, Wales and England separately, so everyone can concentrate on themselves... or just parties for the UK, if we are together. Why both?
