Words I Have Never Used

Just pondering what ‘modern’ words I never use, and never would.

1) Hi.
Hello, I’ll say, or good morning, good day, pleased to meet you, etc, but never “Hi”.

2) Poo (or Poop)
I might have used the word when I was in Primary School, but not since. I’ll use the ‘old’ terms, and if talking to a medic might say faeces or defecate, but never, ever Poo.

3) Wow.
No, I did use it once when the alternative might have needed asterisks, but it’s not part of my everyday speech.

4) Oh My God (or OMG, or Oh My Days, or any other soft non-religious euphemism).
Among friends, I might use some Anglo-Saxon term instead.

5) Awesome.
No further comment necessary.

I imagine you can add many to my list.

Yeah I get the 'himself' 'my man' irritation I really do, but to me, because he's 50 nearly 'boyfriend' sounds ridiculous, 'partner' is slightly off in that we only live together when I'm in the States, 'Significant Other' is not us at all, so what would I call him? 'My man' seemed to me to sum us up, and he says 'this is my girl' so pretty equal, but sent Retro into an absolute apoplexy.

Steady neddy with your next comment eh? :) x
Footy,instead of Football.
Loose,instead of Lose.
Yeah...apoplexy

That's a Joey word so it is.
A phrase i do not recall EVER saying; "No thanks, i couldn't possibly drink another pint of John Smiths Smooth."
Big age gaps rarely work out. I know, been there, got the T shirt, did not end well. Eighty year old bloke, fifty year old woman , ain't going to work in most cases.
I've never used the word "Boke"
Theres a programme on tonight about age gaps featuring an 80 something woman and a 30 something man. Guess it works for some.
If you really can't get it to work try two tooth picks and some sellotape. Failing that, try 4.
That's a sensible and reasoned comment Sparkly and often true I imagine. There's a huge age gap with my grandmother and her husband and everyone said that wouldn't last but it has, I think as with everything else it depends on the people and why you love them or stop loving them as the case may be. Some people are eternally young, others are old when they're 30.

Maybe that way round. A 30 year old bloke will certainly be able to rise to the occasion. An 80 year old, probably not.
Some might feel eternally young, their limbs say otherwise, and other organs.
Relationships aren't just about the bonified loving
I'm delighted I have never used the term 'Bonified loving'. :-)
Wow I use all the words in the OP almost daily. I also hate preggers but my absolute cringefest is panties.
Well there is that, or maybe not if you're lucky but even so, your relationship has to be more than just the physical otherwise it'd never get to the sage where anyone is 80 surely? My Grandmother can pass for 50 on a good day and she's very physically fit, no-one ever clocks that she's anywhere near 80 but even so when she was ill recently her husband was the most attentive and concerned person ever, it was really sweet. I'd like to think that's where we would be.
