Say there is a person with very bright red hair and this is a key feature to their personality and character, would would be the word for this?

Iconic comes to mind but that's less personal to the individual

I think Spath it also depends on how you are using the word/phrase - you may say to the person 'Your red hair personifies you to me' - to a third party you may say 'Her red hair is her trademark (for example)'.

I am not sure what you are getting at! Do you mean that certain personality and characteristic traits are typical of a group of people just because they have very bright red hair?

If so then it is a stereotype

Sorry it's hard to get my meaning across, if only there was a word to perfectly describe it :')
