if you start with the word "nuclearisation" can you then attach prefix or suffix(es) to it AI?

as in "ANTIDENUCLEARISATIONISTICALLY"

Or do they all count as phoney words?

It's probably of no great interest to anybody, but I couldn't let the moment pass unremarked...the answer below is my 5,000th here on AnswerBank.

Your word is an adverb qualifying the behaviour of someone who is against the cessation of the creation of nuclear power/weapons. As such, it is possible to conceive of a situation in which it might be used. To that extent, it is just as much a 'real' word as any other. All words were created to fill a gap in meaning, so why not this one?

I think you always give great well informed answers. And I think I speak for us all over on Q&P.Congrats on all those answers!!

I think they're called Bush-isms.

*By the way, Happy 5000th post Quizzy !! *

You are not the first to wonder this....

Alice said, Curiouser and curiouser and was obviously prey to suffixization

(My apologies, Mr P, for hijacking your thread in this way. In recompense, I just hope my answer was of some use to you.)
Thank you very much, Shaneystar, for your kind comment. Your own responses on Q & P are most impressive. Cheers

QM what can i say other than Gratters old man! I always look for your input and have always been impressed at your content when put to task, so keep on knocking them up and we will see you on the 10,000th.

Incidentally as you have admitted ransacking my thread, can you give the term to describe the 5,000th of something as in "pentacentile"  (500th) as i can't think of the 1000th term?

Bit of a mystery here...your response was not visible this morning, Brachiopod, unless my eyes were playing tricks. Hence my lack of reference to your kind wishes. Let me make up for that omission now by offering thanks to both you and Mr P.
Re your query, Mr P, the Latinate version would be something such as 'quinquemillian' and the Greek 'pentachilian'. Cheers

No probs, QM.
