Come on in! Nungate Towers is open for another meeting of AB's Mad Over Fifties! With Queenie and Best Beloved away in Cardiff it's been a struggle to get things organised for tonight's meeting.
As we have another lovely summmer evening, we'll be having most of tonight's meeting out of doors, the fountains are throwing up huge jets of water, all over the gardens the fairy lights will be lighting our evening, the maze is open (a guide is available) there are rowing boats down at the lake, and a marquee is set up on the east lawn, where we have a delicious buffet all set up. Tonight the Tailcock will be the Lost Kitty, named in honour of Queenie's little ginger cat Henry who has been wandering around the Towers like, well, a lost cat! His companion Max is in the cattery (don't ask) and he is missing his human Mummie and I just won't do, despite me putting the grand prix on the tv so he could look for her in the crowd .... (after Barca played of course) For those who wish to remain indoors the hot tub is bubbling away and the mini bar stocked, the minstrels will be on hand to play their usual madrigals and toccattas, and of course all the usual amenities are available to be enjoyed by our members. Our favourite local band The Tone Deafs will be playing in the marquee, and we also have as a special treat, a string quartet playing Mozart's greatest hits in the grotto, (follow the path by the lake, and on past the old oak tree carry on and it's on your left just by the path leading to the beach)
Sadly Queenie had some bad news during the grand prix as her favourite rider came off in a nasty collision and had to be taken to hospital with a suspected broken collar bone - I'm sure she'll get over it, as will he!
So come on down everybody and have a lovely evening!
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter here

Carriages at midnight.

I am departing as well, nungate - many thanks to you and Igor for your hospitality, and that Queenie and Mr N return safely from the land of the Sheep.

Just as long as they leave the sheep there DT. Goodnight then, North Berwick eh? That'll be nice, hope the weather will be better by September, hope you can get something arranged for your mum's care.
G'night, DT.
Madame, the lights have come on, what do you think?
Question Author
Yes, very pretty Igor, I'm glad we just stuck to white ones, coloured lights just wouldn't work very well. Have to coloured lights in the fountains come on?
Plant is about to throw the switch now Madame
nun, Malkin is still unable to give talks as he had to paw print the Official SeCats Act. He would however be delighted if someone were to recite the ASJ Tessimond poem, Cats No Less Liquid Than Their Shadows. rubbish at links, google it

Is this the one, Daisy.

LOL, sorry I mean this one, Daisy.
Question Author
Such a pity, Daisy, but I shall look that up. Bit partial to Old Possums Book of Practical cats myself. Queenie loved a story about the Dishwasher Cats, which she heard on Jackanory, I had to go out a buy the book! Henry has even left the dreamies I put out for him, he's definitely missing everyone! Poor little guy ...
Poor Henry, pinning for Queenie.
Yes, Tony, that's the one. Learned it off by heart at school. Thanks.
(Er, how do I do the link?) pathetic look
Question Author
He has separation issues, he's also missing his oppo Max - the pair of them are as thick as thieves, they behave like brothers but Henry is a year younger and we know where he came from. Max was found abandoned when he was less than 6 weeks old (too young to even be away from his mum) when we were offered him by the local cat rescue people (experienced with kittens was the reason we were offered him)
harummmpphhh I suppose I'll be expected to pick up all those cat treats
Right Daisy, if you want to put a link on here go to what ever you have googled or YouTube and look at the top of your screen for the www. etc and then put the cursur at the beginning of it, then left click you mouse, you will then see it turn Blue and a box appear which will give you the option to Copy, click on Copy and then go to the Answer part of the thread and right click your mouse, this will give you the option to Paste, click on Paste and your link will appear.

Give it a try on this thread, practice makes perfect.
Afraid so I think, Igor.
Question Author
No Igor, your services won't be required, Molly (see avatar) has eaten them!

Shall we do the rofl?
Am a complete failure, turned blue, no option box. Not to worry , son home in a few days, perhaps he can knock it into my noddle.
Question Author
Daisy, once you highlight it in blue, right click the mouse and select copy,
then you get to the page you want to post it on ^^^ Enter youtube link here
right click again, and click on paste and hey presto it should be there. Mind you you'll have to open up another window, I have more than one page open so I can move between the pages. For instance I always have MOFC open on a Saturday, but so I don't have to switch back to MOFC when I want to look at another thread I have another page open so I pop over to that one. I hope I haven't confuse matters
Keep at it Daisy, you'll get there with a bit of practice .
