How Fast Can You Type?

I've just done a typing test on here:

I did the one minute test and selected the "Wizard of Oz."

I achieved 54wpm... and that was being slow/cautious.

Not bad since the average is 36 or something.

my missus went for an office job few years ago and she got me to do her online typing test and mail the result over lol

It takes me a minute to type my name. Not a computer person, but an ace engineer i'm told.

I'd be quicker if my f and j keys weren't missing and if there were still letters on the top of my keys , they've all worn off

Used to be 60 wpm when I worked as a shorthand typist many moons ago.

61 (with 3 errors - 64 without) - but they I do type a lot of the day at work.... I did Aesop's Fables.

I did that one too boxy... I'm much quicker at typing medical letters, probably because I know the docs so well though.

china - familiarity does breed speed! - but then I find that certain letter combinations just come automatically without me telling them. I used to work in a brewery so typred "public house" as lot - anything now which starts with "hou..." always ends up with an "se" on the end!
