Easy solution. The government informs the farmers that war costs so subsidies go; and if they're peeved to go to Ukraine to volunteer for the front instead. Meanwhile I'm sure Mosckovia has plenty of grain etc. they'd be happy to sell to cover any home grown shortfall.

The protest seems to be about a German subsidy for German businesses.

"Unions are demanding ministers reverse plans to phase out fuel subsidies that can be worth up to €3,000 ($3,300; £2,600) a year for an average business."

The rules and red tape issues MAY be EU related but that's not absolutely clear.

Feel free to tell me to 'ave a day off as per. x

How is the EU responsible for the non-payment of this particular subsidy?

It isn't. Looks like there's no compulsion to actually read links one supplies.

Hmmmm "far right groups" and "Germany" in the same opening sentence is never a good start.

Plenty of videos of German tractor protests here:

When we were locked into the Ponzi scheme we were forced to pay in £XXX and we got back £XX. The extra £X was confiscated by the EUSSR and given as subsidies to their chosen recipients   ... like German farmers for instance. The EUSSR has no money it only has other peoples money. Most of what it had to use as bribes was ours. They used our money to undermine our economy for decades and the 5c were happy to assist them. Not hard to figure out if you are at all thoughtful.

Good post Togo.

~~ When we were locked into the Ponzi scheme we were forced to pay in £XXX and we got back £XX. The extra £X was confiscated by the EUSSR and given as subsidies to their chosen recipients   ~~

The sum the UK paid in was 14 billion and rebate (thanks to Mrs T. ) was 6 billion. So the UK paid in 8 billion, whitch was exactly thre sum received net by Poland.

Thanks 3T    ...   further to that has anyone else noticed that all our economic woes, fiscal readjustments, depletion of funds, shortages of commodities and economic output is all due to Brexit according to the remainiac vassals? Whilst in the EUSSR we havent affected their propensity for largesse and vanity gestures at all by telling them to do one. All their woes are due to wars in Ukraine and and Palestine, the draining effect of combating covid or the terrible weather causing floods and pestulance, which appear not to affect us at all. Bless.

£XXX, £XX, and £X were merely analogy Khandro. You know how difficult some find real numbers.   😉

Good post Togo.

too many words. you sound like the irishman with a coffee cup outside my local Lidl

This is nothing to do with the EU’s common agricultural policy which sunsides Europe's farmers.
The protests are about the German Government cutting a German subsidy for fuel.
Absolutely nothing to do with the UK no longer contributing to the EU's budget.

//This is nothing to do with the EU’s common agricultural policy which sunsides Europe's farmers.//
