That puzzled me too. I'm sure Boris is not an RC so assume his wife is one. I thought it was strictly against church rules to conduct a marriage when one of them has an ex-partner still living.

3rd marriage, 2 divorces, infidelity. That’s some big loophole . I have friends who are unable to marry in the Catholic Church because one of them is divorced.

My Mum converted to Catholicism to marry my Dad, he was happy to go outside the Church but it was what she wanted.
