What is your most suitable time for getting up in the morning. Mine is about 10 or 10.30am - any time before that makes me so tired the rest of the day. Like I am right now - was up too early.

Might lie down for a wee rest and no doubt Maxie will be in beside me. Loathe getting up early. My cousin needs to get up at 6 in the morning to start work at 9.15 and she lives about half an hour away from work.

That I can't fathom.

I really and truly find getting up too early - then (if you don't work) the day is very long.
Doesn't Maxi want letting out before 10?

I'm retired conn and my day isn't long enough but I understand it must be a long one living on your own
I get up generally between 4 and 5am

I do have choices - like I could be out probably 5 days a week - there are loads of forums around here, classes in the schools are finished until Sept, but lots going on.

And I could be visiting far more often - very much a friend with dementia in the care home but I have to be psyched to see her as it breaks my heart cos she is not that bad for the place she is in but could not be at home either. She can be cross and unhappy and I know she is saying to herself "why am I here - I wasn't a bad person and so it goes on" so I put that off - now that I am talking about it - I will get down this week. So very harrowing to see. Like all the other patients too and again the staff so kind to them.
Left to my own devices I’d get up about 9.30 to 10 o’clock. I’ve had to get up early recently to let workmen in. The days seem so loooong...
My body clock says between 8 and 9. But I need to be up at 6am 3 days for work. I struggle...not so much with getting up, but sleeping any time before midnight is impossible.
...unless I fall asleep in front of the telly.
anytime after 6am woud be a lie in for me

I don't know how yous all survive at such an early start. I am literally exhausted right now. Had a stab at lying on the bed about half an ago but no sleep will come. Maxie's out for the count.

But I am making and potato and leek soup so need to get on with things.
Do you use a soup maker Conne?
Best purchase I've made, my favourite is Broccoli and Stilton, yummmy, takes 21 minutes

no Bobbs - just a regular pot - am trying to avoid buying any more unnecessary gadgets.

sister bought me a soda water stream on Sunday - I'm happy about that.

even tho I am not fussy about eating my greens - I can enjoy them in a soup.
I wake up between 5 and 630 every day of the week including weekends whatever time I go to bed. I really envy those who can sleep in mornings, haven't been able to do it since I became a mother (in my early 20s never got up before 11 or 12 at weekends).
Prudie, never been able to lay in - dad used to say I got up at 5 before I could talk!
When I'm not looking after my little grandson, I sleep until I feel like getting up. Sometimes I can be led awake for hours at night. So when I eventually fall asleep, I have to have at least 7 hours to feel alert.
I think I am a night owl as I go to bed pretty late. But lately, I've been waking up early, much too early at around 8am.
The last three weeks 4:30 am, morning shift ( it's like getting up in the middle of the night ).
