Saturday. It's wet outside. Not raining at the moment, I hope it stays that way, the farmers market is not so much fun when it's tipping down.

I had an unexpected phone call from a dear friend yesterday, A lovely surprise.

Tiggy III is tucked up soundo again. He's doing well.

Morning Boaty not ventured outside yet still dark, started going to community garden where I volunteer this week, was great to see some old and dear friends, and meet some new ones, hadn't realised it was first time this year. We sometimes get donations. Anyway got to go through one tub yesterday and made donation for some bits that I brought home, all non gardening related, so that was nice. Some not so nice person had made of with all our hose fittings, must have been a volunteer or client, asked coordinator to purchase some new ones, had to explain how male and female fittings get there name.

Morning tony. A community garden. What a lovely thing. But there are always some scumbags that will spoil anything, no thought for others.

Tony that looks very good. I can see that people that use it get as lot of pleasure from it. That can only be good.

Yes always evolving, trying some no dig beds this year, basically cover with old flattened cardboard boxes for weed suppression, top up with farmyard manure and hey presto. We started last year only a few more beds to do

Excellent. As a gardener I'd make a good bus conductor. The garden was Vera's, she could stick a dead twig in and it would grow. I just look at a thriving bush and it dies! :o{

Yes users get lots of benefits, last year I made some raised beds using scania modular pallets (if you knew what they are) for people who use wheelchairs. We also do team bonding days for companies, which work out really well for larger projects.

I can see a lot of people will get a lot from it. Including fresh veg.

I know Jens the gardener here, I'm the gofa, at community garden I rarely do much gardening, I seem to have become site handy man

If weather is dry today as predicted, need to finish doing preservative on one shed at home and refit guttering

A useful role. I was Vera's gofer. I'd do any heavy work she wanted, under her direction of course! In return she used to be my gofer in the kitchen. :o}

Yes barometer is moving in wrong direction, but met office forecasts dry all day, although overcast, only time will tell
