The Duchess Of Excess

I am not impressed by the public display of her charitable largesse. I do not think the children would be excited at a bunch of flowers. This was a preplanned and thought out way to show Ms Markle's generosity. Sorry! Not impressed.

She may have been somewhat of a celebrity in the USA some years back but she should have realised that modesty and dignity are what is now required of her. Providing an ice cream kiosk for the staff at Kensington Palace was so typical of her ostentatious behaviour and so totally inappropriate amongst other things!
Baby showers are culturally relevant to her as she's American, her friends organised it, and in their scheme of things it wasn't a big deal because they are all vastly wealthy. What would you like her to do with the flowers, sling them in the trash? She'd have been thoughtless and wasteful if she's done that, if she gives them away, she's doing it to garner adulation. She can't win.
Cali.

True, but when she married Harry, in the eyes of the British public, or many of them, she ceased to become American and became the Duchess of Sussex, a member of the Royal family and all that goes with that title.

I think the British people might be in for a bit of shock then Sqad, because I don't think Meghan gives a toss, she will fulfil her obligations as she sees fit and if people don't like it I imagine they'll have to lump it- she's not mentally unstable Princess Diana to be shoved around- she'll stand her ground, she's dealt with sharks all her adult life and she's not intimidated by them. Now whether it'd be healthier for her to be is another matter... but I don't think she's gives a damn.
