I saw Billy Graham back in the early 80's (when I was a religious fruitcake)at a crusade in Liverpool. I was only a teenager at the time but remember wondering what all the hype was about him. An average preacher, nothing special.

Could be jam, it was at Anfield I think. I also remember the buckets that were passed around for collections with notes in them.

Can't remember the exact location nailit, but it was huge and there were many, many people there. I too remember the buckets being passed around. Mum and I only went out of total curiosity !

I remember him saying he was looking forward to death as it would be so wonderful to be with Christ. As he is 99 it would appear Christ was in no hurry to have him.

He couldn't have been looking forward to it that much as he had been receiving treatment for cancer and pneumonia for the last few years. Like all religionists, full of talk until their lives are on the line then suddenly they want to medical treatment to stay on earth a little bit longer.

I remember him having a series of prayer meeting in the summer of 84 at Villa park, I think he did several football stadiums that summer.
