Anyone doing anything nice today? Any romantic stories to tell?

21 years ago today I sailed round the Grenadines and Tobago Quays on the Ship that was later used in The Pirates of the Caribbean. We were on holiday in St Lucia at the time. What an amazing day - albeit one from a previous life.

Today I had a nice card and a pale pink Phase 8 Clutch and necklace, and a bottle of gin.

I'd love to hear your Valentine's stories - funny, romantic or whatever.

MrG departed with the lass from the pea canning factory just before Valentine's Day.......so I ordered and had delivered to him a huge pile of manure for the garden they didn't have...... :-)

How are you feeling now, Minty? xx
Lot better now fever has broke..tired and wobbly, bad throat ,need to eat and build up energy levels
Last year was the first year that anyone ever bothered with Valentine's Day for me. It was a lovely surprise.

This year I informed him that we should conserve our resources for our impending house move/wedding. Although I did send him a card with a rude verse in it!

We were meant to be moving house today but it fell through so I am not "feeling the lurve".
The thatched cottage ?

I'm glad you're on the mend, Minty. From what I gather this has been one of the worst years ever for the dreaded flu :-( xx
Most people I know have had it

No Minty, the thatched place is the potential replacement property. Skunk Hall is the one that fell through.
Ahhh..
Is that an engagement ring, Spath?!

Lol she does KNOW its not an engagement ring? Cos that could be awkward later.......
How lovely spath...
it's not going to turn her finger green is it Spath? :-D

Nothing romantic on the horizon here.

Shame about the house BM :-(
It could an ehhhhmmm moment
I think that's a lovely thing to do too, Spath.

Alba, it is a shame. But the replacement property is actually much nicer (if it goes ahead). What is killing us is travelling between his and mine because its a 40 mile round trip 4 or 5 times a week.
