I decided to put this in News as opposed to Media/TV, given the relevance and topic.

Britain and Europe: For Richer or Poorer?: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07dpt29 via @bbciplayer

Anyone watch it? Some of the frankly diabolical EU regs for trade and import gave even more compelling reasons to get out and as financial experts said in the programme we won't be shunned if we do leave, far from it.

Thanks Baldric, I always have problems posting such links via my tablet.

No probs, I've reported my big black square as a waste of space ;o)
Got my window poster and a bumper sticker now - and wearing a big badge saying Vote Leave! We're doing a patriotic celebration (B,B,Q & music) for Q.E's official 90th on 12th and I'll probably be accused of all sorts of disrespect and rebellion, but I intend to wear my badge. (Our choir is singing 'I vow to thee, my country' after the rock band led by daughter - more Kaiser-chiefs sort of thing.)

She won't have a country to govern if we stay in, we'll just be a region......I'm a lukewarm monarchist, by the way, but I love my country.

I've also been sent 2 'Leave' balloons so wil blow them up and attach them to the railings by the polling Station once it is up and going. Doing my bit!
Just a point of pedantry in your otherwise excellent description, jourdain. The Queen does not govern - the government does that (allegedly). The Monarch merely "rules" - a very important difference :-)
One could argue that the Queen governs through her ministers, whose advice she always follows.
What does the Queen actually do?
That's one of the reasons I'm lukewarm, Hopkirk. I know she works very hard with red boxes, meetings and so on (and I truly value her dedication to her role and country and she is brilliant about horses), but I have had cause to be hugely critical of her over some things she has condoned and signed in my lifetime. I am by no means an expert, but I believe that the monarch is the last barrier between us an a complete, power-seizing nutter as PM.... she may have missed a trick with Tony B., or perhaps he didn't go far enough.

I am as certain as believing that the sun will rise tomorrow that NJ will soon explain exactly why a monarch is a necessity. :o)
