I bought a bag of oranges yesterday and this instruction was on the label. Should they be eaten after one has bathed or is hand washing enough?

'Wash before use' is a bit of a pithy statement.
Depends, if you are appealing or not.
At least it doesn't say "may contain nuts"

(or does it?)
lol @ hoppy. or 'contains milk' as it does on some butter packets. just have a quick shower and hope that is enough.
Don't forget your safety goggles, though x
Full immersion, Sandy, paying particular attention to the Navel.

All these added ablutions just for the sake of fresh juice. I think I'll go back to cartons.
aaah now i understand .. you just wanted to get 'ablutions' in today - lovely word
Yes shower, dab of Brut and then eat oranges lol lol
would a quick flannel wipe round the face suffice if i'm having a clementine?

Do you mean that you don't wash first before opening a carton?
Well, you won't need a face-peel, ael.
I believe sandy washes some 'parts' with zest.
While on the subject of oranges, has one noticed how hard some of them are to peel, it's a good job I still have a simple plastic orange peeler that I once got free with a pack of Outspan oranges.

And the taste some are as sour as lemons.
