TWR....not entirely sure what question you are asking ! I am sure that you wouldn't want to go back to the days when black or brown people were called
W**s, C***s, etc. Or have I misunderstood the point of your post ?
Spit it out TWR, stop beating about the bush.

No I do not mean that Mikey, but they must get Izzed off with the P.C. idiots.
With respect TWR, you are still not making yourself clear.

Give some examples of what things are being done, in regards to Black people, from the "PC Dept" that you disagree with.

My friends whom I use to work with was a Black Person, I did not like the term that we had to use " The Black person" I used to say the coloured person, I ask the person in question & he said that he preferred that term rather than being termed a " Black person" there are many other subjects that has to be re-addressed in terms of P.C. the person is from P stan, why is the term Pkie offensive, the pols / I'Ts, Taffy's / Jocks do not take offence.
You are now being more clear...thank you.

The P word is widely used as a term of abuse....please see the attached youtube link. The dreaded P word is the first thing that is heard. I am sure that you or anyone else is not condoning this sort of ignorant, racist behaviour.

Coloured is also seen as a term that was used in past times, when non-white people were widely discriminated against. Anyway, the term "coloured" is meaningless....I don't know any green, blue or purple people.

If these are the only examples that you can think of, then I would have to say that I disagree with your original post.

I understand what you mean, TWR. Whatever colour, I imagine anyone with any sense gets p'd off with the PC idiots.

Mikey I have Honestly not opened that link, I have only to look at that person face to read what are his views.

Why did you have to use " The Black person" did he not have a name?
I have a friend who is from the Caribbean who took his fair English bride there on honeymoon. In the hotel one of the staff took him aside and said "are you a N like the rest of us?". Which he found hilarious.

I have been called a few thing since I have moved from Wales to England Naomi, It does not bother me, it's something similar like some on here that gives me some stick at times, does it bother me? I'm still here xx
TWR, I think some people can be deliberately obtuse when it suits them. I’m surprised that tedious video isn’t worn out!
naomi...."tedious" ? Being reminded about how racist some people can be is tedious ? Extraordinary !

I addressed the only two issues that TWR gave....not sure why you thought it was a suitable case for acid tongue to get an outing !
Naomi, acid-tongued? Lol. She's like molasses.
The "P word" for someone from Pakistan is offensive in part because it betrays a certain level of ignorance about how to describe someone from Pakistan. Very often it's even directed towards people not from Pakistan at all, but merely look like they might be. In that sense it would be like being called "You dirty Frank" (as in Frenchman) solely because you are White, even though you might come from elsewhere in Europe. And then of course most of the people who use it tend to do so with other bad language attached, or at any rate forcing it out in an angry tone. So of course it's offensive and of course no-one should use it, in anger or otherwise.

As to the rest of the "PC nonsense", some of it is just exaggeration, but some people do go too far out of their way to avoid causing offence, which can, in itself, be offensive. It's not necessarily as widespread as the media make out, though.
It's ok, svejk. Mikey calls his rudeness sarcasm - so that's alright then. ;o)
TWR I think it depends on the 'history' of the offending word. Some words have darker histories than others, such as the 'N' word or the word uttered in Big Brother which I hadn't heard of for years and years which I don't know if it will get through the filter but its pic-a-ninny which is very offensive. Some that were quite innocent when I was a child 'chinky' for chinese take a way, or the 'P' shop are now deemed highly offensive (apparently)
incidious unecessary thread of the week so far.....
Slapshot -congratulations on your recent promotion to AB Commissioner of Police.
