Oh I am so pleased and relieved at the same time I had to share ;-) I have just spent the last hour with a poor sheep that was trying to deliver a lamb -have been watching it all afternoon and although its best to leave them to it just had a gut feeling something wasn't right so went over to it in the field - it had a lambs bum sticking out of it -not a good sign as they normally come front feet first - I managed to get the lamb out and it wasn't breathing so I slapped it and cleaned the gunk out of its mouth and it coughed and came round - I am so pleased -its a female lamb - huge -and it would have been born dead if I'd left the sheep to it -''result'' as my youngest son would say -happy happy ;-)

Sqad - too much wine causes erectile dysfunction and ibuprofen won't cure that unless you glue them on the underside.

Hey well done you !!
Well done you.
Well done mags. A large glass of Vino is in order I think ;o)
Good news
well done, magsmay.
Oh, I know how you feel, magsmay! I've done the same and it's a wonderful feeling to know that you've saved not just the lamb, but quite possibly mum, as well. Nice one! K xx
Mags, congratulations! You're a mammy again. :)

Well done, and good for you, you knew what to do.
Great stuff mags, you should be feeling very proud of your self.
Well played my darling.......I had a mate who was a general surgeon and he had lambs on 800acres of land (I think) .........and he invited our kids to watch lambing.
I HATED obstetrics with a bloody vengeance.
Hey, c'mon, sqad, I'm sure you've got a stronger stomach than that!! :-) K

Thanks everyone - It was worth getting covered in sheep sh*t and yellow slime -I'm supposed to be not partaking of alcohol during the week -self inflicted purgatory -but am ready for a stiff one (shut up before you start sqad lol!).
Awww congratulation on saving the little lass - and her mum.

I think exceptions to self-imposed purgatory are allowed under the circumstances. View it as wetting the baby's head!
magsmay....LOL.....now that is my language.............
You've earned one tonight mags
then go ahead and have one....you deserve it

very well done

A vodka martini is winking at me from the kitchen but have to go back out and check up on mum and baby -think I'll take a pic and use it as my profile -christ its turning me all soppy ;-)
That's settled dinner for tomorrow.
lol McMouse. That reminds me of when I went up to my friend's farm last year. His 3 year old was not in the least bit interested in introducing me to her 3 week old sister, she grabbed my hand and dragged me out into the field to see the lamb that arrived just before we got there. "THis is Alfie" she said proudly "he is a lamb. We eat lambs". lol
You said that your OH was away....pity to miss a celebration. How about me picking you up, a meal, bottle of wine, a few laughs and
"-christ its turning me all soppy ;-) "" leave that last bit to me .
Sqad, mags has had enough trauma for one day. ;o)
