What's it like in your area. We thought we were getting away with it but in the last it's kicked off like a WW1 barrage. It's even upsetting Max and he's normally quite unconcerned about things like this.

It's been really wet here most of the day, but our big local celebration (a couple of miles away) managed to get going. Nothing in the local gardens.
Only a few going off plus two local displays (one for the scouts - which we went to and one at the local army camp - went one year and it was excellent).
It's been like Beirut here !! At last it seems to have calmed down now....
House across the road are having a bonfire and setting off what looks to be thousands of pounds worth of the buggers off. I let the dog out in what I thought was an interval, she was halfway through a pee and watched one sail off up to the sky, then BOOOOOOOOOOOOM, never seen a dog scuttle back indoors so quick.

I had a quick look outside and as Boo says there must be £1000's of pounds being burnt tonight, and they say there's no money about

Is fantastic here - some of the best I have seen for ages and all free.
Loads of noise last night, went to bed about 11.45 and the fireworks started up again around midnight. Its noisy again tonight. They seem noisier than ever.
Heard one bang this evening. Have the curtains open in case there are some fireworks to watch. Very disappointing.

I think the locals must keep stopping for a beer break,it keeps going quiet for 10 minutes or so then it kicks off again. I don't want to sound like a spoilsport but I wish it would pour down and put the bloody things out.
It is nothing personal against you all in your area. I thought that World War 111 had started off here and the dog hates all these fireworks. I will be glad when all of this is over.

Is that a fact, redhelen? Is that something to do with the IRA then? I thought you were joking when you said that at first.

It's been quiet since my last post and Max has gone to lie in his favourite spot instead of lying between mine and Trish's chairs so maybe it's all over till next year.
Its coming in waves. Started just after six dogs unhappy but the combination of Dap diffuser, herbal tranquillisers, loud tv, loud singing by me has made it less horrible than other years so far. When my boys panic they try to climb on my head and they each weigh 32kg so no fun.
It's been quite consistanct all night here since about 6pm, still going on now!.....thankfully my puppy, Callie doesn't seem to mind at all!.....phew!!....
Hopefully its quieting down here...just got to get through the pubs turning out drunkards with bangers and we should be ok
It's quiet now (11.25) but earlier on I got quite worried. Some of them were so loud they shook the doors and windows. More like bombs than fireworks. Haven't heard the fire engines or ambulances though so perhaps it has gone through with nothing drastic happening.
