20000+ drunk ticketless scousers force their way into a football match and cause death, I'd say he's absolutely correct. Why are the Hillsborough sympathisers so unable to accept the basic truth? Yes Plod made errors but it wouldn't have been an issue if not for all those ticketless hooligans.

// So for 100 years of terraces up to Hillsborough no one was crushed to death //

You've obviously forgotten the Ibrox disaster of 1871 when 66 Rangers fans were crushed to death in similar circumstances.

1971
66 died at Ibrox stadium, Glasgow in 1971

If Geezer is so vitriolic about the Hillsborough disaster, one wonders what his view is of the Heysel tragedy?......which WAS actually hooliganism
I don't know what the game was but I remember seeing a huge crowd spilling on to the Wembley pitch (days of b&w telly)
what would have happened that day if the fans were caged in?
Oh, come on, boys.....................play fair !!!

Don't go provide *facts* on one of Geezers threads...........it completely unbalances the thread.

Use short sentences. Staccato words. Save damning words for the end of sentences. and the use of "End of" is to be recommended wherever possible.
*providing............:o(
Mick, do you mean the England/Scotland game at Wembley in '77 when the jock fans invaded the pitch at the end and were ripping up the turf and wrecking the goalposts?
geezer has said 20000 drunken ticket-less fans twice. I was of the belief it was estimated to be 2 to 3 thousand fans that that tried to get in at the last minute.
You have been asked where 20000 came from geezer.

Can you answer that please?
or

The Burden Park Disaster in 1946 when 33 Bolton fans were crushed to death.

No Luke it will have been a team like Bolton or Blackpool. I just remember the footage being shown, over 100,000 fans turned up.
Perhaps Geezer also thinks that 20,000 drunk ticketless Liverpool fans also caused the Burnden Park and Ibrox disasters too?
For 20000 of them to be drunk the kids must have be inebriated too.
This Scumbag needs more than apology R1Geezer and if you believe this crap then you are no better yourself
Well I got one team right Dr Filth.

Caging football fans in was a bloody stupid idea.
They still cage them in in France, I remember Man Utd fans being in a crush situation at a Champions League game a couple of years ago
He's gone very quiet, hasn't he ?
