Seeing that he has not been found guilty yet of the charges against him, I thought it unfair to comment on these.

What I would wish to comment on, is the fact that he entered and won the Mr Gay UK title.

Why as a serving police officer was he was allowed to enter such a contest, has to be questioned, especially when it was reported, he appeared in a police-style outfit, including a stab-proof vest.

He said "I thought telling people I was gay would mean no one would want to know me, but at the Mr Gay UK final I had more people supporting me than I’ve ever had in my life".

Er, could that be that all those at the Mr Gay final, were also gay?

/// Earlier he was reported to have said his main reason for entering the contest was to “change the public perception of the stereotypical gay man”.///

Now how did he expect their perception would change?

///Looks like my comments went straight over your head! ///

No they were struggling to make it out of the gutter.

.
And I'm all girly and ware pink
///I prefer mine to be hot and sexy///

That's your hand you're describing right?

.
Zeuhl....you're top class :-)
"Interpreter needed here methinks! "

You were saying that most 'real men' hide their true feelings about homosexuality (that they think its wrong) because of 'over political correctness'. I was saying that if that's the case, then it's not particularly manly of them to be hiding their thoughts for fear of the PC lefty pinko brigade.
zehul......my hand is hot and sexy????

You need some English lessons too?

krom.....fear of prosecution or being accused of gay bashing just for making comments is the reason most sit on the fence
Thanks, ummmm :D

joe - Of course, there are women who conform to your stereotype of all lesbians being butch...............but I think you'll find that they are outnumbered by the 'ordinary' and 'stunning' lesbians in the rel world !!

Byt, hey ! let's not confuse your arguement by injecting a few facts into the thread !
"fear of prosecution or being accused of gay bashing just for making comments is the reason most sit on the fence"

It's really not...
I think you can dislike the idea of what gay guys do together ...

... but without actually disliking gay guys themselves.

(if you see what I mean)

If we have free speech, and you find homosexuality repulsive, you should not be criticised for saying so. I am horrified at the thought of anyone "giving me one up the butt" and I can't imagine why guys would want to do it.

But, the same goes for girls who do it with their boyfriends ... WHY? would anyone do that?

But, having said that, that is no reason to feel any dislike for gay guys.
No need for thanks....my cousin is going out with a stunner......My cousin is like me and you Jack....normal girls :-)
Exactly right, Jack ...

There are a few beer drinking, butch lesbians ... and some totally gorgeous ones ...

... (hey, I would, with a few girls I've met !)

But ... most of them are just normal.
'normal' ??
JJ, you'd be no good as an accountant.....
An accountant ?

Why not ?

=0o
You wont do double entries :-))))))))))))
I think JJ means "unremarkable"

Spare Ed
Normal, ummmm ...

I mean ... not butch, not stunning ... just, well, normal.

Okay ... I'm not sure what I mean.
Thanks, Ed ... that's a better word.
LOL, carrust.

That's naughty !
Good job I didn't use the word 'normal'

I'd have been instantly reported!
