Now that we are in election mode, wouldn't it be best for all questions appertaining to the election and politics to be posted under the "Politics Topic"?

No because we all know the sub categories hardly get used at all. Set up a special "General Election" one perhaps, or perhaps "seasonal" applies!

the coming months 'news' sections and links and papers and tv stations will be riddled with 'election fever' claptrap. so it will remain as 'news' won't it.

i'm surprised that you haven't yet raised a q about the bnp 'death threat' incident as being a pre election ploy............ ??

What I have noticed today is how the politicians are using 'Rent a Mob' tactics. Only this time they are not being used to shout down the speaker but instead to give a raucous noise supporting everything that's said. It was very noticeable when Cameron stood on his soapbox near to the Commons and the group of about 30 supporters cheered him to the rafters.
